Adult Training

Preparing you for something new

Action Towards Inclusion is a Building Better Opportunities programme in Scarborough.

It helps participants towards employment as well as addressing a range of social issues such as poverty, exclusion and health-related barriers.

The programme aimed at economically inactive adults, designed to help you increase your confidence, skills and knowledge. With the guidance of a designated mentor, you will receive support for the areas you need with personalised support and guidance for those looking to improve careers prospects.

We achieve this through engagements, motivation and support to help people change their lives.

You can work in a variety of ways: one-to-one, or in small groups and on a number of subjects including functional skills, creative work and practical workshops.

Jonny’s confidence has grown so much since he started with us that he’s even stated that he has learned more with us than he did at school. We arranged an interview with the local Skills Village and Jonny to discuss his future and a possible apprenticeship in plastering which was very successful, and Jonny is now on working with them up at the Skills Village.
