The aim is to bridge the gap for adults aged 19 years of age and older as they seek work yet lack the confidence and skills required in the workplace.
The ATI initiative provides a vital step in building a positive future for adults in the Scarborough area. The ATI is an extension measure and is fully supported by member of the Futureworks team. It includes a programme of workshop experiences that provide multiple skills that can be used in numerous workplace situations.
The good news is the service is open to those seeking work and can be joined at any time. The workshops take place at the retail outlet Furniture Works in St Thomas Street, on Mondays and Tuesdays for eight weeks, taught by skilled and qualified Futureworks NY team members.
It’s been a very difficult year for all of us, and it has really affected job seekers. The overall aim of the workshop is to give participants confidence and experience that will prepare them for the challenges and opportunities in employment. The ATI initiative also gives those involved a chance to meet new people and be supported throughout the course.
Here at Futurework NY, we have places available with the Action Towards Inclusion (ATI) programme specifically designed for those out of work and economically inactive adults aged 18 and over who are looking at getting back into work, training and education.
We alsoprovide Maths and English qualification sessions every Tuesday morning 9:30am to 12noon.
We understand that sometimes people need additional support and encouragement and offer one to one support sessions to overcome barriers and reduce isolation to improve outcomes tailored to each individual person. Learners are supported with every step of their journey to help them move forward and become happier and healthier. We have a dedicated ATI team to help build skills and knowledge for a brighter future.
Action Towards Inclusion is a project which is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund and is managed by Your Consortium based in Knaresborough. The work on the ground is undertaken by key workers and specialist intervention partners through a range of organisations in the voluntary and community sector.
